Starting the week of Monday, April 21, the contractor will begin the reconstruction of 18th Street on both sides of Main Street as part of the Main Street Reconstruction Project. For the contractor to begin pavement removal, a full road closure will be required. The road closure will be in effect for approximately 10-14 weeks, depending on the weather and contractor staging.
There are two parts to this closure: Phase 3 (Washington to Main) will commence first, while Phase 4 (Main to State) will commence once the intersection work at State/East 18th Street is completed (approximately one week after Phase 3 starts). Residential and business access will be maintained via Main Street, Washington Street, and State Street.
