The Cedar Falls Community Foundation has awarded $20,250 in grants to organizations across Cedar Falls. These grants are made possible by the Diamond Arts and History Fund and the Rownd Trust.
Grants totaling $16,000 were given out from the Rownd Trust. The Cedar Falls Community Theatre will receive $10,000 for the renovation of the upper level Deery Room in the Oster Regent Theatre to ensure it remains a functional, welcoming, and inspiring space for years to come. $6,000 was granted to the Hansen Elementary PTA to support the Hansen Elementary playground expansion to expand existing playground space and prioritize inclusion.
Grants totaling $4,1250 were given out from the Diamond Arts and History Fund. The Hearst Center for the Arts will receive $3,000 for their future “It’s Touching” interactive art exhibit. $1,250 was awarded to the UNI Foundation for the publishing of the Centenary Edition of Ruth Suckow’s Iowa Interiors and support original artwork in the book.
