CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The spring golf season rolls on for the UNI men’s and women’s golf teams as both programs travel to Boulder Creek, Nevada for their second tournament of the spring season.

UNI men will head to Boulder Creek, Nevada for the Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State University. The UNI men will start play on Monday morning on the par-72, 7,400-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club, followed by the third and final round on Tuesday. Teams expected to compete alongside the UNI men include Southern Utah, Western Illinois, South Carolina Upstate, Youngstown State, Niagara, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical, North Dakota, SDSU, and St. Francis University. Tee times have yet to be announced.

The Panther ladies will make their way to Nevada on March 10-11 to compete at the Jackrabbit Invitational. UNI Women will tee off play on Monday, followed by the third round on Tuesday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Panthers will compete against UNLV, St Thomas, Creighton, North Dakota, Lehigh, Western Illinois, California State, Northridge, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, NDSU, Bucknell, SDSU, Omaha, Arkansas Little Rock, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical, Dakota Wesleyan. Tee times have yet to be announced.

UNI Men are coming off a 15th-place finish at the Wyoming Classic in Palm Desert, California, where Senior JD Pollard led all Panthers with a total score of 227 (+11). Connor VanWeelden shot a 228 (+12) and finished in a tie for 73rd place. Tanner Dinnebier placed 76th with a final score of 229 (+9), while Calen Bishop finished with a total score of 240 (+24). Brock Seiser finished the three-day tournament with a total score of 258 (+20), finishing in 90th place.

UNI Women are coming off a 1-2 performance at the Rust Buster Match Play in Orlando, Florida. Senior Anna Nacos recorded UNI’s only full point of the first round against Ball State and finished with a score of 79 (+10) to take home the victory in round 1. Anna Jensen and Isabella Petterson finished all 18 holes. Jensen led all Panthers with a score of 74 (+2) in round 1, while Victoria Hualde was 60 (+7) through 13 holes. UNI won round three at the Rust Buster 5-1 over Western Illinois with Victoria Hualde clinching a victory highlighted by the first hole in one of the season for the Panthers on a 145-yard par three.
